Local Extension election set

OREGON COUNTY -- The University of Missouri Extension Council elections will be held Jan. 17-23.

The candidates for the Northern and Southern districts are: Dale Combs, Howard Dethrow, Carl Fraley, Russell Combs, Eddie Honeycutt and Amos Purcell.

The polling places are: Conoco, Koshkonong; Rover Store; Rivers Edge, Thomasville; Young's Produce; Alton Senior Center; Mills Feed; Oregon County Extension, Alton; McFann's Garage; Myrtle Quick Stop; Indian Country Junction, Myrtle; Fun and Friends Senior Citizen Center; Hirsch Feed and Tindle's Feed, Thayer.

Oregon County Extension officials said all registered voters are encouraged to cast their ballot at any of the above locations.

They ask that voters remember to vote only for the candidates in their district.

The Northern District includes: Moore Blackpond, Big Apple, King Woodside, Falling Spring, Piney I, Piney II and Highland. The Southern District includes: Johnson Ozark, Myrtle, Cedar Bluff, Couch, Jobe Billmore, Jeff, Thayer I and Thayer II.
