Florence Lee Dodge, daughter of the late George Washington Denton and Sarah Anne Longley Denton, was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Oregon County, Mo., and died Aug. 27, 2003,in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 91 years.

She was united in marriage Sept. 5, 1931, to Cecil Clifford McHugh who preceded her in death May 4, 1962. She was united in marriage March 5, 1963, in Fulton County, Ark., to Clarence Dodge, who preceded her in death July 2, 1983.

She was a faithful member of First Church of God in Thayer and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters -- Ollie Iolene Haney and Mary Rogers, both of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; two step-daughters -- Mary Busch of Mammoth Spring and Daisy Dodge of Salem; a sister, Callie Parnell of Wirth, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Aug. 30 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in the Field Creek Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.

Pallbearers were Travis Forester, Garry McHugh, David McHugh, Edward Brown, Dennis Rogers and Greg McHugh.
