Wilma Ruth McAfee Sherrell, 63, daughter of the late John and Maybelle McAfee was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Michie, Tenn. She died Aug. 17, 2002, in Mountain Home, Ark., She was married to Darrell Sherrell Aug. 23, 1995, in Wiseman, Ark. During her working years she was a homemaker and a housewife.Survivors are her husband, Darrell Sherrell of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tammy and Danny Branscum of Pineville, Ark., and Debby Washington of Batesville; three step-sons and two step-daughters-in-law, Gene Sherrell of Grain Valley, Mo., Randy and Johneace Sherrell of Oxford, and Russell and Kim Sherrell of Oxford; three sisters, Frances Morse of Granite City, Ill., Pam Morgan of Shiloh, Tenn., and Phyllis Ballard of Shiloh, Tenn.; three brothers, Jackie, Joey, and Johnny McAffee all of Shiloh, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jared and Amanda Branscum of Calico Rock, and Ethan Edwards of Mountain Home; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Haley Branscum of Calico Rock; three step-grandchildren, Laura Sherrell, Brandon Sherrell, and Jordan Sherrell; one step-great-grandchild Patton Sherrell, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Garneal Halford; four brothers, Jake (J. C.) McAfee, Kenny McAfee, Earnest McAfee and Mancil McAfee.Services were Aug. 19, 2002, at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Jess Sumrall officiating. Burial was in the Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.Pallbearers were Charles Jones, Victor Stanley, Gerald Wyatt, Junius Miller, Donnie Helm and Dan White.
