Elbert F. Moody, 97, son of the late Amos and Bitha Foster Moody was born March 12, 1905, in Iuka, Ark. He died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Calico Rock, Ark. He was married to Lucy Hill Feb. 19, 1927 in Mt. Olive, Ark., and to this union four children were born. He spent is working years employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He retired after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Twin Creek, Ark.Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Magleen and Roy Teal of Calico Rock, Rena and Carson Smith of Marilyn Heights, Mo., and Shirley and Earl Brown of Sylamore, Ark.; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucy; four brothers; six sisters; one son, and two grandchildren.Services were Monday, March 18, 2002, at the Calico Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Staggs Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock.Pallbearers were Ronnie Guthrie, Eddie Guthrie, Ronnie Hill, Wayne Hill, Tony Queen, and Gale Wooten.Honorary pallbearers were Boyce Gillihan, Cleveland, Blankenship, Junior Gillihan, George Gillihan and Shelby Gillihan.
