The Horseshoe Bend City Council met May 8 in a special session called by Mayor Bob Spear to interview candidates for the position of Municipal Recreational Improvement District commissioner.
Spear announced the meeting was called in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2.12.02 of the Horseshoe Bend Municipal Code.
The minutes of the previous meeting were waived by previous council action. Those minutes are available in the office of the recorder/treasurer during normal business hours. The treasurer's report had been waived by previous council action. It was posted on the bulletin board for pu
blic inspection.Since there were only two candidates the council decided to interview one while the other was out of the room. Council members questioned Bob Jackson, then Lee Mears.
After the interviews were finished the Mayor announced the council will make an appointment to this position at the May 19 city council meeting.
