THAYER -- Internet Banking was on the mind of the Thayer-Mammoth Spring Rotary Club at their Nov. 14 meeting. Lynn Hobbs presented the program and gave information on Internet banking. She discussed how the Internet could be used for money transfers, review of bank statements and paying bills. She showed the club Web sites of area banks with help of Jim Hart from Pneumatek Internet. He discussed how his wireless Internet system with shifting frequencies is used to provide safe and secure Internet service for online banking transactions. Bankers in the audience answered questions on the subject.
Doyle Fink spoke briefly on s Day and asked club members to remember the veterans who fought for the country.
On Nov. 8 the club participated in their semi- annual clean-up of their adopted two-mile stretch of Highway W. Members participating included: Merle Williams, Bill Garrison, Earnie Mainprize and Doyle Fink lead the effort.
