Leroy and Sue Poulette will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 25 from 2-5 p.m. in the First Baptist Church fellowship hall at 112 North Third Street in Thayer.
Leroy and Sue Poulette were married June 25, 1955, at First Baptist Church of Thayer by Rev. P.V. Freeman Sr. of Thayer. The Poulettes have two children, Dennis and Genia Poulette of Carthage, Mo., (Genia is the daughter of the late Leonard and Joan Baker of Mammoth Spring), and Debbie and Rusty Hyde of Thayer (Rusty is the son of the late Jack Hyde of Myrtle, Mo., and Druscilla Martin of Mountain View, Mo.).
They have four grandchildren Jared Pulette of Jones Co. of St. Louis, Mo., Joshua Poulette, a senior at Drury College in Springield, Mo., Jennifer Hyde, a senior at SMSU of Springfield, and Jordan Hyde, a sophomore at Thayer High School.
Leroy retired from BNSF Railroad, cattle farming and custom farming. Sue has been employed for many years in the dental field and is still employed at the Mammoth Spring Dental Clinic. Leroy and Sue Poulette reside at their home on Highway 142 West of Thayer.
