Elizabeth I. Wickins Miller, of Koshkonong, Mo., was born March 18, 1931, in Koshkonong, Mo., to John E. "Jack" and Doris Vincent Wickins. She died Nov. 16, 2003, in Springfield, Mo. She had been married 51 years to Robert G. "Bob" Miller. She was devoted to her family, a wonderful homemaker, cook, and seamstress. She was well known for her talent in crocheting and knitting. She and Bob retired to the family farm near Koshkonong Jan. 1, 1975.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer and VFW Auxiliary 731 and was a former member of St. Bernadette Church in Kansas City.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Mary Dennis and husband, Richard of Odessa, Mo.; a son, Robert E., and wife, Paula, of Koshkonong; one brother, Floyd Wickins of Koshkonong; two grandsons -- Lonnie Farmer and Brian Miller; two granddaughters -- Janet Farmer and Dana Miller; two great-grandchildren -- Dakota "Cody" and Jordyn Farmer; a niece, Cynthia Keller; a nephew, Chad Wickins; and a great-niece Reece Keller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Wickins. Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Bernadettes Church Nov. 21 with the Rev. Kenneth Riley officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Farmer, Brian Miller, Chad Wickins, Janet Farmer, Dana Miller and Cynthia Keller.
A memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Thayer will be Dec. 4 at 11:30 a.m. All friends and relatives are invited.
