Carl Edward Luck, 80, of Cherokee Village died Friday, May 24, 2002, at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born May 13, 1922, in Joliet, Ill, the son of William Luck and Mable (McKibben) Luck. He was employed by U. S. Steel for over 22 years, and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder for many years.Survivors include his wife, Donna Luck of Cherokee Village; three sons, Dale Hemminger of Springville, Tenn., William Hemminger of Portage, Ind., and Curtis Allen Luck of Chicago, Ill.; eight daughters, Jacqueline Bramham of Indianapolis, Ind., Karla Hansen of Elgin, Ill., Betty Jo Hathaway of Flowermound, Texas, Wendy Kiral of St. Petersburg, Fla., Cheryl Luck of Merrillville, Ind., Delaine Miller of Michigan City, Ind., Kimberly Riveria of Merrillville, Ind., and Cindy Thompson of Antioch, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one brother and one sister.Services were Monday, June 10, 2002, at the Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Pummill officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, Ill, with arrangements under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
