Janeice Farel-Boles Sherman, 63, of Viola, Ark., daughter of Lucille Shrable Farel Boles and the late Ray Farel, was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Vidette, Ark. She died Dec. 30, 2004, at her home in Viola.

She married Charles Sherman Aug. 30, 1961, in Viola. To this union three children were born. She was a homemaker, a member of Viola Church of Christ, the Viola Fire Department Auxiliary, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. She served on the Fulton County Election Commission for many years and was secretary of Pleasant View Cemetery Association.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Sherman of the family home; her children -- Mitzi Elaine Jones of Viola and Michael Sherman and wife, Tracey of Viola; her mother, Lucille Boles of Viola; half-sister, Beverly Wells of Garland, Texas; and grandchildren -- Seth Jones and Jason, Eric, J.M., Jarred, Brynn and Sydney Sherman. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles William "Bill" Sherman; her father, Ray Farel; step-father, Harvey Lee Boles; and a brother, Billy Ray Farel.

The funeral was Jan. 2 at Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery at Gepp with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
