Carrol Ray Oliver, 65, of Glencoe, Ark., died Dec. 27, 2004, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.

Born Jan. 21, 1939, in Sturgis, S.D., he was the son of Kenneth and Edna Remington Oliver.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He married Linda K. Wright May 28, 1976, at the Ellsworth Air force Base in South Dakota.

He owned Oliver Manufacturing Company, which manufactures sawmills. He attended the Evening Light Message Church in Thayer, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Linda K. Oliver of the home; four sons -- James E. Oliver of Glencoe, Troy E. Oliver of Michigan, Carroll J. Oliver of Henderson and John D. Oliver of Glencoe; six daughters -- Cathy Rasmussen of Washington, Annette K. Thompson of Box Elder, S.D., Tammy M. Echoff of Rapid City, S.D., Edna F. Oliver of Box Elder, S.D., Trisha L. Haley of Mammoth Spring and Kelly R. McBee of Gassville; a brother, Dean Oliver of Newell, S.D.; two sisters -- Jeane Pittman of Whitewood, S.D., and Darlene Guthrie of Norfork; and 15 grandchildren.

The funeral was Dec. 31 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel with Paul Brewer officiating. Burial followed in Thayer Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.

Pallbearers were James Oliver, Junior Oliver, John Oliver, David Haley, Joe Haley and Sonny Haley, with Tim Haley serving as an honorary pallbearer
