Dorothy Lowe, daughter of the late A.J. Cypret and Willie Mae Mitchell Cypret, was born May 28, 1920, in Elm Store, Ark., and died March 24, 2004, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 83 years.
She married March 29, 1939, in Thayer, Mo., to Raymond Lowe.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Thayer for 66 years and was a member of WMU. She was also a member of the Fidelus Club for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and will be sadly missed by her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Linson and husband, Bill, of West Plains, Mo.; a son, Glen Lowe and wife, Judy, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren -- Craig Linson and wife, Marci, of Blue Eye, Mo., Kyle Linson of Memphis, Tenn., Matthew Lowe of Pittsburg, Kan., Jill Stamos and husband, Nathan, of Old Greenwich, Conn., and Kristen Lowe of Corpus Christi, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant brother, A.J. Cypret; a brother, Ernest Cypret; and a nephew, Michael Cypret.
The funeral service was March 27 at the First Baptist Church in Thayer with Dr. Bill Banks officiating. Burial was in Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer, Mo.
Pallbearers were Craig Linson, Matt Lowe, Bill Franz, Kyle Linson, Bill Drye and Leroy Poulette.
