William Scott Mann Jr., 83, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died March 20, 2004, at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 26, 1920, in San Francisco, he was the son of William Scott Mann and Ethel Winship Mann.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a master pipe fitter for the United States Civil Service before retirement.
He moved to Cherokee Village 15 years ago from Bremerton, Wash. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village.
He was a Master Mason of Bremerton Lodge 117. He was a life member of Kitsap Lodge of Past Masters.
He was a charter member and life member of Silverdale Lodge 311 in Silverdale, Wash. He was also Scottish Rite of Freemasonry S.S.; USA Life member 32 degree, Valley of Bremerton and Orient of Washington. He was also a member of the National Association Legions of Honor, Nile Temple. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Irene Mann; two sons -- Arthur C. Mann and Sheldon S. Mann; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for April 18 at 11:45 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village with the Rev. John Edwards and the Rev. Don Norton officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
