OREGON COUNTY -- An Alton man, Brent Robinson, died in a one-vehicle accident July 30 in Shannon County.
According to Troop G of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Robinson, 34, was driving a 1198 Ford Crown Victoria when he ran off the left side of the road, overturned several times and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His two daughters, Cassidy Robinson, 7, and Taylor Robinson, 11, both of Kennett, were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both girls were air lifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries. Robinson was returning to Alton with his daughters for a visit.
Robinson worked for the University Extension office in Alton as a community development specialist. He had worked at Alton since April. His parents are Brady and Margie Robinson of Kennett.
Local Extension officials said Robinson will be missed in the office and in the community.
A celebration of life memorial service was held for Robinson Aug. 7 at the Community Worship Center in Alton.
