Maxine Havner Loosey, of Calico Rock, daughter of the late Adolph and Lucille King Havner was born April 7, 1924, in Calico Rock, Ark. She died May 9, 2004, at the age of 80 years. Maxine was united in marriage to Ewell Loosey on March 5, 1942, in Calico Rock and to this union four children were born. During her working years, she worked at Baxter Lab until she retired. She attended Iuka Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law -- Betty and Earl Killian of Calico Rock; two sons and daughters-in-law -- James and Stella Loosey of Old Joe, Ark., and Lloyd and Cindy Loosey of Waverly, Tenn.; a sister, Elsie Moody of Iuka, Ark.; three brothers -- Clarence Havner of Old Joe, A.D. Havner of Salem, and Charlie Honeycutt of Yellville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Dorothy May Loosey; four sisters -- Fern Honeycutt, Billie Greer, Betty Havner and Floy Goodman; a brother, LeRoy Havner; and a grandson, Steven Loosey.
A graveside service was held May 12 at Galatica Cemetery with Noel Moore officiating. Burial was at Galatica Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Ark.
Pallbearers were Craig Killian, Raymond Branscum, Ben Loosey, Marty Wilson, Zack Killian and James Loosey.
