Morris and Louann Street of Cherokee Village have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leah Elizabeth, to Zachery Adam Smith, son of Mike Smith and Gina Abney of Ash Flat.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maxine Carpenter of Ash Flat and the late Boyd Carpenter, and Gene and Avondale Street of Cave City.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Orland and Georgia Grissom, and Leonard and Maxine Smith, all of Ash Flat.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Highland High School. She attends Ozarka College in Melbourne where she is seeking a degree in information management.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Highland High School and Bee Jay's Hair Styling Academy in Batesville. He works at 5th Avenue NY Salon in Mountain Home where the couple will reside after the wedding.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. June 21 at First Baptist Church in Cherokee Village. A reception will follow at Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village. All friends and family are invited to attend.
