Bryan Marshall Jennings, 84, of Calico Rock died Dec. 8, 2004, at the Community Medical Center of Izard County in Calico Rock.
Born Dec. 19, 1919, he was the son Aaron Pinkney and Fanny Blanche Hankins Jennings. He graduated from Calico Rock High School in 1939 and later attended College of the Ozarks in Clarksville. He served in the United States Army in World War II and in the Korean War where he became a disabled veteran. He was a member of the local VFW and the DAV. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl Elmo Jennings; and a sister, Lois Jennings Denauw.
Surviors include his wife, Flora Dell Martin Jennings of the home; a son and daughter-in-law -- Rodney and Debbie Jennings of Lebanon, Mo; three daughters and sons-in-law -- Sandra and Jay Hunscaker of Yermo, Calif., Ellen and Doyle Downs of Bald Knob, and Donna Jennings of Yates Center, Kan.; 12 grandchildren -- Shawn Downs, Travis Downs, Erik Downs, Aaron Jennings, April Jennings, Samatha Massey, Amber Jennings, Beth Jennings, Maggie Jennings, Amber Jennings, Jason Hunscaker, Tejay Hunscaker and Larry Hunscaker; three great-grandchildren --Caillou Jennings, Myla Jennings and Allie Jennings; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Dec. 11 at Calico Rock Mennonite Fellowship with Bob Lormins and Clifton Downs officiating. Internment followed in Staggs Cemetery near Calico Rock.
Pallbearers were Shawn Downs, Travis Downs, Erik Downs, Aaron Jennings, Joe Jennings and Ron Massey. Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Hayes and Earl Jennings.
