MAMMOTH SPRING -- Mammoth Spring Schools Superintendent Ron Taylor announced last week that his school recently completed the Comprehensive Compliance Monitoring visit by the Arkansas Department of Education.
Taylor said 121 items in the school district were reviewed during the visit. "We are pleased with the results made by the reviewing team," the superintendent said.
In a letter to the school dated Dec. 16, Standard Assurance Specialist James Floyd of the state Department of Education said, "Based on the site visit (Mammoth Spring School District) is in compliance with all reviewed items contained in the Comprehensive Compliance Checklist."
Taylor said this is the first year certain items have been involved in the check list that was passed by the Legislature and he thinks the newly elected Legislature may take a second look at some of items on the list. He said he appreciates all the work principals Brian Davis and Ruth Stevens put in toward the visit.
