Kimberly Brook Cooper, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles M. Cooper of Oxford, Miss., and Sean McRae Saunders, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Saunders of North Palm Beach, Fla., were married June 14 in Oxford. Greg York, minister of Oxford Church of Christ, officiated at the double ring ceremony at the church.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eleanor Bailey Coffman of Jackson, Tenn., and the late Paul Vernon Coffman, and Mrs. Louise Walston Cooper of Thayer, Mo., formerly of Franklin, Ga., and the late Marvin Taylor Cooper.
The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Jeanne Saunders of North Palm Beach and the late Harold McRae Saunders, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Herrington.
Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white peau de soie featuring French re-embroidered Alenšon galloon lace and accented with pearls and beads. Pearls and beads accented her train of embroidered organza, which was attached at the waist. Her multiple strand pearl necklace accented her princess style tiara fashioned with pearls. She carried a cascade of red roses, tied with white silk and satin ribbon.
Maid of honor was Keri Jo Coleman of Oxford. Brides-maids included Sarah Saunders of North Palm Beach, sister of the groom, Dawn Cooper of Jackson, Tenn., sister-in-law of the bride, Laura Atwood of Oxford, Tamara Couch of Nashville, Tenn., Dorothy Daniel of Dickson, Tenn., Seleena Park of Memphis, Tenn., and Anna Wiggins of Bolivar, Tenn.
Attendants wore apple red organza gowns, featuring draped necklines and spaghetti straps, and accented by matching long gloves. They carried single calla lilies, tied with white silk and satin ribbon.
Lauren Erickson of Henderson, Tenn., and daughter of the best man, served as flower girl.
Serving as best man was Chris M. Erickson of Henderson, Tenn., and groomsmen included Jason Doyle, Danny Germaine, Taylor McMullen and Shane Studder, all of North Palm Beach, Fla., Ben DeBerry of Dickson, Tenn., Reed Henson of Adams, Tenn., Frank Rachelle of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Kessel Stone of Parkersburg, W. Va.
Nuptial music was provided by Brittany Black, Dennis Edwards and Jonathan Long, all of Nashville, and by guitarist Joey Mustain of Henderson, Tenn., who wrote, sang, and performed an original piece, written for the couple. He also wrote the music for the song which the groom sang as the bride entered the church on her father's arm. The groom wrote the words for his solo, entitled "On This Night." The couple also wrote and spoke personalized vows during the ceremony as they faced their guests. Lighting of the unity candle preceded the closing prayer.
Betsy Bess of Horn Lake, presided at the guest book.
Serving at the reception in the fellowship hall were Cara Gober of Oxford, April Hughes of Birmingham, Ala., and Heather Pierce and Laura Creekmore, both of Jackson, Tenn. The Nashville Trio provided music for the occasion.
After honeymooning in Jamaica, the couple is at home in Jackson, Tenn. The groom is a business student at Freed-Hardeman University, while the bride is a co-director with The Limited, Ltd., in Jackson.
