Thursday, March 10, 2005

"Once she starts singing, you pray she'll never quit," said Chet Atkins about Nashville recording artist Suzy Bogguss. Bogguss will perform at West Plains Opera House at 8 p.m. March 12. The concert is presented by West Plains Bank and Trust.

Bogguss is best known for songs like "Drive South," "Letting Go," "Hey Cinder-ella," "Give Me Some Wheels," "She Said, He Heard," and many others. In 1994, she released the full length CD entitled Simpatico which she co-recorded with Atkins.

To date, she has released 13 CDs and made many television appearances on shows like Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, Austin City Limits and CBS This Morning. Her voice can also be heard behind all the national radio commercials for Cocoa-Cola.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and food from Johnny's Bar-B-Que will be available. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at West Plains Music or general admission at the door.
