Harold Clinton Smith, 55, of Poughkeepsie, died Sept. 7, 2002, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Aug. 18, 1947 at Batesville, the son of Raymond Linford and Naomi (Medlock) Smith. He owned and operated Smith's Grocery Store in Poughkeepsie for many years and was a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.Survivors are his mother, Naomi (Medlock) Smith of Poughkeepsie; one brother, Charles Smith of Poughkeepsie; two aunts, Addie Runsick of Poughkeepsie and Marie Bryant of Kansas City, Kan.; one uncle, Tommy Medlock of St. Louis, Mo.; one niece, Nancy Ann Smith McGuire of Poughkeepsie; one great-niece, Brittany McGuire; one great-nephew, Bryce McGuire both of Poughkeepsie; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Otto and Bertha Smith; and his maternal grandparents, Charley and Fannie Medlock.Services were Sept. 10, 2002, at the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley officiating. Burial was in the Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Jim Baxter, Arnell Russell, Terry Heath, Gene Moore, Bill Thompson, and James Bristow.
