Larry Dale Vanderpool, 56, son of the late Rollie and Bertha Lee Roper Vanderpool, was born Aug. 12, 1946, in Viola. He departed this life Oct. 23, 2002. He was a master plumber and supervisor of plumbing for the Little Rock School District. After graduating from high school in Viola, he served in the U. S. Army. He received his Master Plumbers license in 1977. He loved playing his guitar, as well as building them. He loved his family and friends, and never met a stranger.Survivors include his wife, Paula Wilson Vanderpool of Little Rock; three sons -- Kenny Vanderpool and wife, Kris of Charlotte, N.C., Andy Barker of St. Louis, Mo., and Michael Vanderpool and wife, Sylvia of Lillington, N.C.; two daughters -- Wendy Ramsey and husband, Hall and Gerline Vanderpool, all of Little Rock; five brothers, -- Donald R., Alfred L., and Gerald W. Vanderpool all of Little Rock, Jimmy B. Vanderpool of Oak Grove, Mo., and Joseph O. Vanderpool of Greenville, Ky.; five grandchildren -- Joshua, Joseph and Summer Lynn Vanderpool, Caitlin Sarah Ramsey and Andrew Steven Barker; four aunts -- Josie Campbell of Mountain Home, Jeannne Cotter of Viola, Bernice Arnold of Kansas City and Esther Lee Ingles of Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Annette Vanderpool and his father and mother.Memorial services were Oct. 28 at the Enterprise Baptist Church near Viola, with Jackie Owens officiating. Interment and services were in St. Marks Garden in Little Rock.
