Lawrence David Boden-hamer, 92, of the Bonds community was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Sedalia, Mo., and died Nov. 17, 20o4, at the Shady Oakes Healthcare Center in Thayer, Mo.
He was a man of many talents who loved the challenge of life, loved his family, his Missouri Fox Trotters that he trained and showed for many years in Ava, Mo. He enjoyed working with wood and over the years made dollhouses, miniature barns, toy boxes, cabinets, banks and other furniture for his children, grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Dorotha M. Bodenhamer; three sons -- Larry D. Bodenhamer and wife, Linda, of Pasadena, Texas, Kenneth A. Bodenhamer and wife, Lynn of Houston, Texas; and Wesley G. Bodenhamer of Houston. Texas; a daughter, Sandra E. Huddleston and husband, Wendle of Morgan City, La., one sister, Rosalee Parker and husband, Reid of Prairie Village, Kan., one brother, Warren Bodenhamer of Independence, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Andrew and Nancy Ellen Bodenhamer and a son, Neal K. Bodenhamer.
Memorial services were Nov. 20 at the Norman Church with Bro. Wayne Adrian officiating. Cremation services were under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, Mo.
