William John Sitzman, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., was born Aug. 21, 1920, to William and Rose (Loscheider) Seitzman in Buckman, Minn., and departed this life Nov. 23, 2004, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark., at the age of 84.
He was united in marriage to the late Thelma Viola Saker on Sept. 17, 1958, in Iowa.
He spent his working years with Champion International in the packaging division. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include a stepson, Robert Olson and his wife, Jean, of St. Paul, Minn.; and their daughters -- Debbie and Michelle and grandchildren; five sisters -- Nolla Maehren of Oliva, Minn., Laverne Trusheim of San Diego, Calif., Rosemary Graf and her husband, Richard, of St. Paul Park, Minn., Joyce Nottom of Backus, Minn., and Darlene Ellis and her husband, Willie, of Moline, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Leory Vanden Henval of Emily, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma; a brother, Henry; and a sister, Dorothy.
Graveside services were Nov. 27 at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, Ark., with the Rev. David Tews officiating. Arrangements were by Horse-shoe Bend Memorial Chapel .
