Horace Franklin Hilburn, 94, of Salem, Ark., son of the late Thomas Cleveland Hilburn and Drucella Jane Gargus Hilburn, was born March 24, 1910, in Salem, Ark.

He died Nov. 9, 2004, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem.

He attended Spring Valley School. He married Eunice Young on March 8, 1931, at Salem.

He was employed by North American Aviation in Kansas City, Mo. for many years. He was also a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son, Virgil (Rae) Hilburn of Anderson, Mo.; daughters _ Frankie (Bob) Raines of Camp, Wanda Clark of Camp, and Ada Jane (Robert) Haddock of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a brother, Edward Hilburn of Midland, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 53 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 23, 2004; a granddaughter, Helen Major; great-grandsons -- Robert Ray Raines and Robert Lee Roberts; a great-great-grandson, Jacob Hurst; brothers -- Otis and Eddie Hilburn; and his father and mother.

The funeral service was held on Nov. 13 at the Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial in the Camp Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
