THAYER -- Thayer business man Robert Crase was in Thayer Municipal Court Oct. 20 and pleaded not guilty to assault charges.
According to Thayer Prosecuting Attorney Ray Lee Caskey, James A. Lawson filed charges against Crase Sept. 15 at the Thayer Police Department. The charges stated Crase put both hands around Lawson's neck and choked him.
Caskey had few details about the incident but said he thought it occurred at Crase's place of business, Discount Liquor, located on Business 63 in Thayer.
Crase is scheduled to appear before Thayer Municipal Judge William T. Hass Nov. 17.
