Jack L. Ward, 73, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., died April 21, 2008.
He was born in Corning, Ark.
He graduated from High School and enlisted in the Navy.
He later obtained several master's degrees from Arkansas State University, University of Arkansas and the University of Arizona. He taught school at Old Main, Parkview, Central and Mann.
He then became a Psychiatric Social Worker. He worked at St. Vincent Hospital and was in private practice.
He is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Ann; two daughters, Jaclyn Ward and Robyn Ward; two sisters, Charlene Sparks and Jacqueline Brown; a brother, Glenn Ward; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceeded in death by: his parents, Tom and Lora Ward; his stepfather Roy Creek; two sisters, Sue Poyner and Carol Kilburn; and a daughter, Karyn Walker.
Memorial services for Jack Ward were held at the Riverview General Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, April 25.
A second memorial service service was held at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock on April 26.
