Lois Ann McComas Choat, 56, of Imboden, Ark., formerly of Hardy, died Oct. 15, 204, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
Born Oct. 24, 1947, near Birch Tree, Mo., she was he daughter of Isaac D. Huff and Betty Bryant. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at different area hospitals during her career and also with home health.
She was married to Arlie Glenn Choat on Oct. 24, 1992. She attended the Shekinah Tabernacle near Wirth, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, Arlie Glenn Choat, of the home; two sons -- Kevin McComas of Monette, and Jason McComas of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Tricia McComas of Monette; a step-daughter, Crystal Do0ughterty of Bono; her mother and step-father -- Betty and Walter Cook of Thayer, Mo.; a brother, Clinton Eugene Huff of Allen, Texas; a stepbrother, Gary Wayne Cook of Nixa, Mo.; a half-sister, Lori Jewell of Thayer; two stepsisters -- Caroline Sue Mercer of Arlington, Tenn., and Darlene Worley of Elkin, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Derrick McComas; her father, Isaac D. Huff; and a stepbrother, Larry Gene Cook.
The funeral was Oct. 19 at Christian Tabernacle on Highway 175 near Hardy. Burial followed in Eagle's Rest Cemetery at the church. Marty McComas, David Morse and Herb Seibert officiated. Arrangements were by Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
Pallbearers were Brian Hatfield, Joe Friel, Robbie Alderson, Franke McComas, John Andrews and Steven Rose.
Honorary pallbearers were John Huddleston and Mark McComas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
