The Izard County Cougars, much like they did during the regular season, ran roughshod over the competition in the 1A-2 East District Tournament in Melbourne.
The Cougars won the tournament championship with an 18-3 win over Mammoth Spring in the tourney finals April 26.
Izard County scored four times in the first, twice in the second, and then put the game on ice by crossing the plate 12 times in the third.
Kyle McCandlis earned the win for Izard County, giving up just three hits in five innings while walking three and fanning five.
Ethan Porter went three-for-three for the Cougars, while Jeremy Burns drove in four with two hits.
Steven Walker added a pair of hits and Dustin Noblin scored four runs for Izard County.
Wes Coffey logged two RBIs for the Bears, while Adam Watson drove in one run.
Izard County opened tourney play by smashing Cushman 16-1 April 25.
