Mitchell Lee Green, 46, of Viola, Ark., was born Oct. 29, 1957, in Lancaster, Pa., the son of Margaret Edna Remley Green and the late Melvin Gamber Green, Sr. He died May 5, 2004, at Viola.
He married Julie Jo Horn Dec. 13, 1995, at Osceola, Ark. He spent his working years as a husband, father, grandfather and a general farm laborer. Mitchell served in the United States Army National Guard for four years.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Jo Green of Viola; son, Michael Green of Salem, Ark., two stepsons -- Matthew Guyer of Viola and Richard Allen Guyer of Viola; a daughter, Michele Green of Paragould, Ark.; a step-daughter, JoNell Marrero of York, Pa.; his mother, Margaret Edna Green of Lepanto, Ark.; two brothers -- Melvin Green Jr. of Columbia, Pa., and Marvin Green Sr. of Columbia, Pa.; three sisters -- Maxine Mitzel of Columbia, Pa., Margaret Languerand of Quaker City, Ohio, and Mary Stork of Lancaster, Pa.; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The funeral was May 11 at Mt. Calm Church in Viola with Gary Barker officiating. Interment was in Mt. Calm Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Jerry Prescott, Melvin Remley Green III, Wayne Young, Walter Kautz, John Languerand and Bennie Britt.
