Norman Lavern Browder age 71 of Cave City, formerly of Monticello died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 8, 1935, at Humphrey, Ark., the son of Lavern and Lela (McGinty) Browder. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired agent for Greyhound Bus Lines in Monticello.
Survivors include his wife Hazel Browder of the home, two sons, Bret Browder of Springdale and Barry Browder of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Tana Barker of Andover, Kan.; one step-daughter Kathy Maxwell of Little Rock; three brothers, Bobby Browder of Wichita, Falls, Texas, Donald Browder of Hensley, Ark., and Stanley Browder of Elgin, Texas; four sisters, Wanda Smith of Shreveport, La., Brenda Barnhill and Cheryl Browder both of Little Rock and Gayle Shultz of Roswell, Ga.; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held April 21 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewllen officiating. Burial followed in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ryan Maxwell Allen Zachary, John Coats, Russell Mckay, Stanley Jones and David Brock.
