The Longhorns left no doubt about the outcome of the game from the get-go. Viola lit up the scoreboard, running out to a 19-1 lead, holding Norfork without a field goal until the 2:31 mark in the first.Kyle "Boomer" Baumunk nailed back-to-back jumpers to start the game, then Justin "Batman" Batterton ripped his first trey of the night. Baumunk hit another mid-range jumper in the lane, then the big guy got in on the act. Dustin Jones popped a jumper from 14 ft. after grabbing the long rebound. Baumunk added three more field goals and Batterton laid in a finger-roll to get the total up to 19 points.Viola pounded the boards and stroked the nets on their way to a 25-8 first quarter lead. The Panthers played a little better in the second, but the Longhorns didn't let up. Batterton kept the hot hand, ripping off 10 more points in the second quarter, only one of five Longhorns scratching in the scorebook. Viola took a commanding 48-27 lead into the locker room.The break didn't cool off "Batman," or the intensity of the Longhorns. "Batman" drained four treys in the third to lead the scoring, tallying 14 points in the third quarter alone. Viola got some valuable playing time for the subs, and held off the Panthers, taking a 87-66 victory.
