Darnell-Goodson engagment told

Ray and Beverly Darnell of Memphis, formerly of Smithville, have announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Faye Darnell, to Jimmy Lee Goodson, son of Mary Johnson of Oxford and the late Leslie Goodson of Wiseman.The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Geneva Henry of West Memphis and the late Erwin Henry and the late Jim and Pearl Darnell of Forrest City.She is a graduate of Lynn High School and received an associate of arts degree from Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould and a bachelor of arts in child development from Harding University in Searcy. She is employed by the Fairway View Restaurant at the Batesville Country Club.The prospective groom is the grandson of Bertha Stroud of Jamestown and the late Thurl Stroud and the late Sam and Eliza Goodson of Wiseman.He attended Desha High School and graduated from Sycamore High School in Illinois. He studied law enforcement at Southern Illinois University and the Academy of Health and Science in San Antonio. He was a pharmacy specialist in the U.S. Army and is employed as a machinist at White-Rogers Division of Emerson.The wedding will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at Ruddell Hill Baptist Church.Invitations will be mailed.
