Fall Festival set at Couch

MYRTLE -- The Couch School Warrior staff will be holding a Fall Festival Oct. 13 at the school.

According to Warrior staff member Amanda Thompson, there will be a best booth contest and the winner of the contest will receive $30, making their booth space free.

The student council is sponsoring a Fall Festival King and Queen competition.

The candidates are:

Seniors -- Courtney Redus and Lee Smith.

Juniors -- Samantha LaBahn and Alex O'Neill.

Sophomores -- Dezaree Pulliam and Logan MeGhee.

Freshmen -- Maggie Ennis and Brandon Orchard.

Thompson said the student council will sponsoring a duck pond and the Warrior staff will have a car bash booth and petting zoo.

"The seniors will have a dunking booth. It might be interesting to see who gets dunked," she said.

There will be free face painting and the FFA Chapter will be selling tickets to give away two guns. They will have a ring toss booth.

There will be root beer floats and a holding jail for anyone who needs to be locked up.

The junior class will sponsor a haunted hallway and the FCCLA Chapter will have a concession stand open all evening.

The festival will be held from 5-8 p.m. with crowning of the Fall Festival King and Queen and gun give away set for 7:30 p.m.
