Clyde Everett Trantham, 75, of Thomasville, Mo., was born July 26, 1926 near Rover, Mo., the son of Clyde and Genevieve Deininger-Trantham. He was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Missouri State Highway Department after 37 years.Survivors include his wife, Jean Trantham of the home; one daughter, Christa Johnson and husband, Dennis of Thomas-ville; two sons, Charles Tran-tham and wife, Carolyn of Alton, Mo. and Keith Trantham of Cape Corral, Fla.; three sisters, Ellen Pierce and husband, Eddie of Sun City, Ariz., Ann Fisher and husband, Ron of West Plains, and Mamye Hull and husband, George of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; four sisters-in-law, Onetta Trantham of Pueblo, Colo., Helen Trantham of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Opal Trantham of Willow Springs, Mo., and Elsie Beck of West Plains; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Paul Trantham; one sister, Laura Briley and six brothers, Wayne Trantham, Earl Trantham, Nor-man Trantham, Dean Trantham, Arthur Trantham and Peyton Trantham.Services were Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Thomasville Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Fisher, Bro. Charles Trantham and Bro. Gerald Bruner officiating. Burial was in the Woodside Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, Mo.Memorials can be made to Riverways Hospice, Gideons International, or to the Woodside Cemetery.
