William Clayton Bradbury, 91, of Salem, son of the Late William Shubble Bradbury and Nellie Adeline Cox Bradbury, was born Oct. 8, 1912, in Pittsburg, Okla. He died June 20, 2004, at Fulton County Nursing Home in Salem.
He was married to Martha Lurene Carter. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was self employed as a farmer and he was a member of Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include three nieces -- Evelyn Williams of Locust Grove, Linda Burgess of Calico Rock, and Loretta Roark of Bakesfield, Calif.; four nephews -- Bill Bradbury of Norfork, Ernest, Merritt L., and Mike Bradbury all of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother-in- law, Frank Carter and wife, Janet, of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; five sisters-in-law -- Faye Hunter of West Plains, Mo., Dorothy Carter of Salem, Bonnie Carter of Concord, Calif., Norma Carter of West Minister, Colo., and Jean Harrell of Springfield, Mo.; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers -- Jake and Merritt C. Bradbury; two sisters -- Lucy E. Nelson and Ethel M. Bradbury; and his father and mother.
A graveside service was June 23 at Flint Springs Cemetery at Viola, with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
