Hubert Dewey Love, 67, son of the late Ivy and Ora Owens Love, was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Cushman, Ark. He died Sept. 7, 2005, at his home in Melbourne.
He was united in marriage to Jaralene Brown on Jan. 10, 1959, in Lafferty, Ark. To this union three sons were born.
He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.
After graduting from Mt. Pleasant High School, he worked as a self-employed heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of the Twin Creek Church of Christ,
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jeralene Brown Love of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan and Kyla Love of Guion and Alan and Anita Love of Brookland, Ark.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Betty Love and Darrell and Joan Love, all of Melbourne; four grandchildren, Tamra and David Brightwell, Anthony Love and Derek and Drew Love; a great-granddaughter, Natalie Bright-well all of Melbourne; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Hubert Dewey Love, Jr., one infant brother, T.J. Love, and an infant grandson, Drake Alan Love.
The funeral service was held Sept. 9 at the Melbourne Church of Christ with Sen. Tom Wooldridge and Donald Gilliahn officiating.
Burial was in Combs Cemetery with arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers included Curtis Billingsley, Loren Blankenship, Eret Moxley, Jim Stegman, Frankie Haley and Mark Herrigton.
Honorary pallbearers included Geoge Gillihan, Shelby Gilli-han, Boyce Gillihan, Junior Gillihan, Charlie Smith, Ray Dover, Noel Jeffery Stanley Yancey, Paul Seay, Jared Moxley Doyne Langston, Kennth Sheffield, Johnnie Smith, Cleveland Blankenship and Shelby Upton.
