John Mueller Jr., 71, of Horseshoe Bend died Aug. 1, 2003, at Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
He and his wife owned and operated the Tin Lantern Motor Inn in Cuba City, Wis., and the Wisconsin House Stage Coach Inn Bed and Breakfast in Hazel Green, Wis., before retiring to Horseshoe Bend this past May.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper.
He was also a new member of the Horseshoe Bend Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Betha of the home; three sons -- Larry Mueller and his wife, Nancy, of Cuba City, Wis., Steven Mueller and his wife, Vicky, and Alan Mueller, and his wife, Ann, all of Dubuque, Iowa; a daughter, Susan Mueller of Baraboo, Wis.; a foster son, Kim Lee of Monroe, Wis.; a sister, Adelaide Diefenthaler of Dubuque; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a brother-in-law.
A memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 25 at Veterans Park in Cuba City with burial at a later date.
