Beulah James Bridgewater Murphy, 90, of Southaven, Miss., died Sept. 26, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born at Hardy, Ark., she was a homemaker and had lived and worked in Rockford, Ill., where she attended Pleasantview Missionary Baptist Church.
She attended Southaven Community Church for the past 10 years.
Survivors include a son, T.J. Bridgewater of Sallisaw, Okla.; three daughters -- Evelyn Bracken of Memphis, Shirley McKinney of Jonesboro and Pat Booth of Southaven; two brothers -- Everett "Bud" James of DuQuoin, Ill., and Jessie James of Corning; a sister, Winnie Rogers of Corning; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands -- Thomas Bridgewater and Rod Murphy; her parents -- Grover James and Elva James; eight brothers and three sisters.
The funeral service was Sept. 29 in the chapel of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning, Ark. Burial followed in the Corning Cemetery.
