Lillian Liewald, 100, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 26, 2003, at the Randolph County Medical Center in Pocahontas. She was born April 6, 1903, in Ewing, Ill., daughter of Marian Lester Williams and Della Meadows Williams.
She worked for 48 years as a dietician for the state of Illinois and acted as the governor's liaison for all dieticians in the state of Illinois. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She moved to Cherokee Village in 1970 from Dixon, Ill., and while living in Cherokee Village was active with the Meals on Wheels program, finally retiring at the age of 91. She was a member of Cherokee Village United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a nephew, M. Lester Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; and one niece, Betty Lou Williams of Lincoln, Ill.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dixon, Ill., at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church, or to Fountain Place.
