Coy Columbus Story, 92, of Little Rock, Ark., died Jan. 8, 2004, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Little Rock. Born Nov. 25, 1911, at Cave City, he was the son of King William and Lee Ford Story.

He was a schoolteacher, having taught in many public schools in Sharp County, a retired salesman for Toledo Scales Company in Little Rock.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include a brother, Bly Story of Tuckerman; four sisters -- Fay Story, Clynora Sweeten, Ivy Bea Lackey and Emy Lee Selby, all of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers -- Billy Ray Story, Kay Story, Guy Story and Tolley Story.

The funeral was Jan. 10, at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the Rev. Linda Singh officiating.

Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were Chuck Clark, Ryan Specht, William Ray Story, Brian Clark and Robert Sweeten.
