Scottie Lynn Sherrell, 41, son of James Harlen Sherrell of Longlane, Mo., and Mary Gaye Jeffery Gillihan of Mountain Home, Ark., was born Aug. 12, 1962, in Independence, Mo. He died Jan. 30, 2004, in Columbia, Mo.
He married Kimberly Ann Corless June 14, 1985, in Independence, and to this union four children were born. During his working years, he worked and managed an auto detailing shop and car wash. He was a loving husband and father and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly of the home; his father, James Harlen Sherrell of Longlane; his mother and her husband, Mary and Clevis Gillihan of Mountain Home; two sons -- Scottie Lynn Sherrell Jr. and William Tyler Sherrell both of the home; two daughters -- Anna Elizabeth Sherrell and Ashley Marie Sherrell, both of the home; two sisters -- Linda Childers of Batesville, Ark. and Connie Campbell of Melbourne, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Sherrell; maternal grandparents - Leslie and Audell Jeffery and paternal grandparents -- William Robert and Myrtle Sherrell.
The funeral was Feb. 2 at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne, Ark.
Pallbearers were Corey Mason, Russell Sherrell, Randy Sherrell, Greg Sherrell, Ryan Clark and Johnny Gilpatarick.
Honorary pallbearers were Timmy Sherrell, Rusty Campbell, Daniel Bohnnan and Alan Sherrell.
