Craig Pickering 76, of Cave City, formerly of Frisco, Texas, died Jan. 21, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born April 27, 1927, at Corsicana, Texas, he was the son of Oren Oscar and Lena Pauline Craig Pickering. He was a mechanist by trade and owned Craig and Company in Frisco, Texas. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include two sons -- Michael Pickering of Cave City, Ark., and Rick Pickering of Gallatin, Tenn.; two daughters -- Patti Stewart of Poughkeepsie, and Jeanni Brosius of Batesville; a sister, Pauline Dickson of Temple, Texas; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Aleta LaRue Pickering; and a brother, Fred Lee Pickering.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
