Parlie A. Williams, 91, of Thayer, Mo., was born Oct. 21, 1912, in Alton, Mo., and died Oct. 8, 2004, at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center in Thayer.
Survivors include a daughter, Marie Perkins and husband, Fred, of Alton; a son-in-law, Sherman Barr of Macon, Mo.; five grandchildren -- Allen Perkins and wife, Linda, Calvin Eversole Perkins, Russell Barr and wife, Carol, Karen Tabor and husband, Rev. Don Tabor, Renee Sikes and husband, Kenny; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orbie T. Williams; two daughters; an infant daughter, Lucille and Louise Barr; a grandson, Gregory Lynn Perkins; her parents, Henry and Eva Combs; her adopted brother, Ray Pingleton; and an adopted sister, Vinita Martin.
The funeral was Oct. 10 in Alton Assembly of God Church with Rev. Allen Perkins, Rev. Grover Pingleton, Rev. Russell Barr and Rev. Don Tabor all officiating. Interment was in Cotton Creek Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton.
Pallbearers were Eric Eccles, Nathan Tabor, Tyler Sikes, Jason and Russell Barr and Rick Dale.
