Ioney Ring Flannigan, 90, of Evening Shade died Oct. 9, 2004, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born May 18, 1914, near Poughkeepsie, Ark., to Cassel and Nettie Ring Shirley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters -- Shirley A. Rigney of Jonesboro, Ind. and Shelia Fowler of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two husbands -- Fred Ring and Louis Ted Flannigan; two sons -- Conrad Leon Ring and Rolan Ring; three daughters -- Maggie Marie Ring, Joycee Darlene Ring and Vida Marie Ring; five brothers -- Ethel Shirley, Ozrow Shirley, Clarence Shirley, Ottie Shirley and Corbit Shirley; and one sister, Bertie Kent.
The funeral was Oct. 13 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Troy Henley officiating. Burial followed in the Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Homes.
Pallbearers were Joe Craig Fowler, Nathan Tierce, Luke Haney, Kevin Fowler, Gary Fowler, Steve Allen, Laney Shirley and Larry Fowler.
