Ozarka announces spring registration dates

For anyone planning to enroll at Ozarka College during the upcoming spring semester, early registration will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 in Mountain View; Dec. 5 in Ash Flat; and Dec. 7 in Melbourne.

Students planning to attend registration should submit an application for admission either online at ozarka.edu or by contacting the admissions office for a copy.

The Compass placement test, which is required for placement in math and English courses, will be given on the following dates: Dec. 3 at Ozarka College in Mountain View at 12:30 p.m.; Dec. 4 at Ozarka College in Ash Flat at 9 a.m.; and Dec. 7 at Ozarka College in Melbourne at 9 a.m.

It is advised to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled test time. Compass testing can also be scheduled at other times by calling the testing coordinator at 870-368-7371.

There is a $10 fee for the Compass test which can be paid in the business office of the Melbourne campus or the administration offices at the Ash Flat and Mountain View locations. Acceptable identification must be presented at the time of testing or admission to the test will be denied. Acceptable forms of identification may include current official photo ID such as a driver's license.

Spring classes begin on Jan. 7, 2008, and a complete schedule can be obtained at www.ozarka.edu or at any Ozarka location in Ash Flat, Melbourne or Mountain View.

Ozarka College officials encourage any potential or current student to check the Web site for additions or changes to the course schedule.
