Koshkonong teen dies in accident

KOSHKONONG -- A 17-year old Koshkonong youth was killed in a two-vehicle accident Nov. 15 at 2:20 p.m.

According to officials with Troop G of the Missouri Highway Patrol, killed was Clint D. Cochran of Koshkonong.

Cochran was driving a 1985 Nissan truck that pulled into the path of a 2006 Volvo tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was driven by Steven E. Lisenby, 43, of Andalusia, Ala.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Route M and Highway 63 approximately one mile north of Koshkonong.

Cochran was pronounced dead by Oregon County Coroner Tom Clary.

Koshkonong Superintendent Steve Morgan said Cochran was a member of the junior class at Koshkonong High School and was active in many school activities.

He worked in the concession stand at the school and belonged to the Beta Club. He was a member of the FFA trap shooting team and Missouri Youth Network.

Morgan said Cochran had many friends and will be missed by his friends at the school and the faculty.

On Nov. 27 the Koshkonong High School Band and Choir will host a benefit concert and chili supper for the Cochran family.

The benefit will be held in the high school cafeteria. Chili will be served throughout the evening beginning at 4 p.m.

The concert will be at 7 p.m. The cost is $5, all-you-can-eat. All donations will be accepted.
