Henry George Wright Sr., 87, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died Nov. 15, 2007, at Horseshoe Bend. He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Pine, Mich., the son of the late Ernest and Luella (Wilson) Wright.
He worked for General Motors Oldsmobile, in Lansing, Mich., during his working years, and was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church, and a member of the Indiana, Michigan, Ohio Club of Horse-shoe Bend.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Wright of Horseshoe Bend; two sons, Henry Wright Jr. of Norman, Okla., and Jack Wright of Bloomfield, Mich.; one step-son, Leonard E. Brown of Sunfield, Mich.; three daughters, Joan Edmonds of Muir, Mich., Karen Huesca of Lake Mary, Fla., Karolyn Wright of Holt, Mich., and two step-daughters, Susan Rice of Sunfield, Mich., and Tracey Brown of Sunfield; four sisters, Katherine Howard of Marshall, Mich., Beverly Hadley of Zephyrhills, Fla., Janet Bryner of Charlotte, Mich., and Sally Buckley of Belding, Mich.; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ernest and Luella Wright; his step-mother, Anna Baltzley Wright; one son, James Wright; an infant brother, and a step-granddaughter, Shelby Wright.
A memorial service was held Nov. 29 at the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Goldman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
