A Myrtle man has been transported to the Missouri Department of Corrections in Bonne Terre last week because of a probation violation.
According to the Oregon County Sheriff's Department, Blake Mansfield, 19, tested positive for drug use and had failed to report to his probation officer.
Mansfield had been convicted on burglary and stealing charges and placed on three years probation in October 2006.
Court records show that on Feb. 16, 2006, he stole two chainsaws and a drill from a building on Oregon County Road 250.
An Alton man, Travis Bates, 22, was arrested by officers with the Oregon County Sheriff's Department Aug. 28 on a charge of probation violation for failure to report to his probation officer.
His original charge was receiving stolen property.
Bates was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be in court later this month.
A Jordan, Ark., man, Antonio F. Acklin, 23, will face a felony charge of stealing a motor vehicle charge in Oregon County court later this month.
Acklin was taken into custody Aug. 4 in Mountain Home, Ark., on an Oregon County warrant. He is alleged to have stolen a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis owned by Jeddidiah Turner in July. The car was recovered the same day on County Road 127 north of Alton.
Acklin posted a $4,900 bond.
