Minnie Stella (Marlin) Hutson, 95, of Cave City died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Nov. 26, 1911, at Judsonia, Ark., to Robert Benjamin and Lillie Gertrude (Miller) Marlin.
She was a barber having operated Cave City Barber Shop for over 40 years and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include: two sisters, Clara Stout and Dell Lathum both of Cave City; five nieces, Anna Beth Whitehouse of Ward, Linda Gayle Cale of Westminster, Calif., Shirley Johns of San Diego, Calif., Judy Linville of Arlington, Texas and Wanda Carter of Sandtown; six nephews, James Evans and Charles Evans both of Kensett, Ark., Warren Stout of Jonesboro, Danny Stout of Cave City, Michael Stout of Pfeiffer and Dennis Johns of Yorba Linda, Calif.; several great-nieces; great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Cecil Hutson; one brother, Joe Albert Marlin; three sisters, Josie Johns and two infant sisters Eva Marlin and Mary Queen Marlin.
Funeral services were held Nov. 11 at the First United Methodist Church in Cave City with Rev. Wayne Johnson and Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangement by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Warren Stout, James Evans, Danny Stout, Charles Evans, Michael Stout and Tim Carter.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Wayne Carter and Clinton Johns.
